On April 4-6, the eCarExpo, a major electric vehicle exhibition, made its debut at the Stockholm Exhibition Center in Stockholm. This event attracted 23 car manufacturers, including two entirely new electric car brands, and showcased 15 Swedish premieres. Among these highlights was Volkswagen's unique ID. GTI Concept, which is set to make its debut.

The event marks a significant milestone for the exhibition center and has garnered considerable interest from car manufacturers. Anna Fögersten, the market chief of the exhibition center, expressed her excitement about the high level of interest from car manufacturers for eCarExpo. The move to the Stockholm Exhibition Center offers improved accessibility and facilities that simplify things for both exhibitors and visitors.

The eCarExpo will be followed by eComExpo on April 3-4, which focuses on the electrification of the transportation sector. The two events will run concurrently for one day on April 4th, a format that has proven successful in Copenhagen.

The list of participating car manufacturers includes Audi, Mazda, Suzuki, Cadillac, Nio, Tesla, Cupra, Polestar, Toyota Professional, Ford, Porsche, Volkswagen Transportbilar (Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles), Kia, Rivian, Xpeng, Lotus, Ökoda (Oskarshamn Electric Cars), Zeekr (Zeekr Intelligent Electric), and Lynk & Co. Additionally, smart (Smart Car) and Zeekr 7X will also be featured.

Notable new models to be showcased include Audi Q6 Sportback e-tron, Cadillac Optiq, Hyundai Ioniq 9Hyundai Inster Cross Lotus EvijaLynk & Co 02 Mazda6e Renault 4 E-Tech Electric Renault Master E-Tech Electric smart #5 Suzuki eVitara Tesla Model Y VW eTransporter VW ID. GTI Concept Zeekr 7X.

Stockholmsmässan is known as Sweden's largest exhibition and conference venue with an exhibition area of 70,000 square meters. It regularly hosts leading trade fairs and national and international conferences and events. The exhibition center is certified according to ISO 20121 – sustainability at events.
