The Smart Cities India expo, now in its 10th edition, is set to be a landmark event in 2026, showcasing cutting-edge technology and sustainability. This year's expo will focus on Robotics, Automation, Drones, Cyber Security, Urban Innovation, Smart Mobility, Smart ICT, Greentech, and ESG. The event will serve as a platform for India to demonstrate its role as a global leader in technology and a force for positive change.

Scheduled from March 23 to 25 at Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi, the expo is expected to attract over 1,200 participants and 350 startups. These exhibitors will present their innovative products and services to an estimated 55,000 visitors. The high-level conference and City Leaders Conclave will feature insights from senior government officials, industry leaders, Smart City CEOs, city planners, mayors, ambassadors, and stakeholders from India and around the world.

Last year's edition of the Smart Cities India & Convergence India expo saw impressive statistics: 54,589 attendees across two events held from March 19 to 21 at Bharat Mandapam. There were also 976 participants from 26 countries and 200 startups showcasing their innovations. The conference featured over 220 speakers who participated in more than 45 sessions.

According to a questionnaire conducted at the conclusion of the exhibition in 2025, exhibitors reported that they did not establish useful business contacts or expect orders as a result of exhibiting. However, they noted that the visitor quality was good or excellent. Despite these findings, many exhibitors expressed interest in participating in the 2026 edition.

The Startup Hub Expo will see participation from over 350 startups this year. This hub serves as a platform for emerging entrepreneurs and industry stakeholders to engage with technology experts and investors. It aims to promote India's initiative of 'Aatmanirbhar Bharat' (Self-reliant India).

Notable speakers at the conference include Nitin Gadkari (Union Minister of Road Transport and Highways), Alexey Kashirin (Head of the Advanced Analytics Department at Alfa-Bank), Aman Gupta (Co-Founder & CMO of boAt), Abhishek Singh (IAS Additional Secretary at the Ministry of Electronics & IT), Dr. R.K. Upadhyay (CEO of C-DoT), Dr. Devesh Tyagi (CEO of National Internet Exchange of India), Manish Bhardwaj (IAS Deputy Director General at UIDAI), Barkha Dutt (Journalist), and many others.

The event promises to be an exciting gathering of minds shaping the future of urban development through technology and sustainability.
