INDA, the Association of the Nonwoven Fabrics Industry, has been serving hundreds of member companies in the nonwovens/engineered materials industry since 1968. With a focus on business growth, INDA helps its members convene and connect, innovate, and develop their businesses through educational courses, business intelligence, market insights, test methods, consultancy, and issue advocacy. INDA Media, the business-to-business publishing arm of INDA, publishes International Fiber Journal and International Filtration News, reaching a vast network of professionals who employ fibers, filaments, and filtration systems to optimize their application environments.
Recently, INDA has been actively involved in advocating for national standards on do not flush labeling for non-flushable wet wipes. On March 27, 2025, INDA announced the reintroduction of the Wastewater Infrastructure Pollution Prevention and Environmental Safety (WIPPES) Act in Congress. This act aims to address the environmental impact caused by non-flushable wet wipes that end up in sewage systems.
In addition to advocacy efforts, INDA has also called on the White House to permanently exclude USMCA products from Canada and Mexico tariffs. On March 24, 2025, INDA issued a statement urging the White House to take action against these tariffs that significantly affect USMCA products.
INDA is also involved in various industry events. FiltXPO? 2025 is scheduled for April 29-30 in Miami Beach, Florida. IDEA? 2025 will take place at the same location and dates. The World of Wipes? International Conference is set for July 21-24 in Columbus, Ohio. RISE? 2025 is planned for October 14-15 in Raleigh, North Carolina.
These events provide valuable opportunities for professionals in the nonwovens industry to network and learn about the latest trends and technologies.
