The trials took place in late 2024 at Loch Fyne and were part of an extended 60-day campaign with AKVA Group, the world’s largest supplier of support and services to the aquaculture industry.

The trial showcased the outstanding engineering of the NetJet? and the responsiveness of Brimmond’s Technical and Engineering teams. Over the 60-day period, the NetJet? minimized downtime, highlighting its exceptional efficiency. While minor teething issues were encountered, they were swiftly resolved by Brimmond’s technical support team within 24 hours. The rapid response to technical support queries is valued by clients due to Brimmond’s North of Scotland location.

Donald Fowler, Commercial Manager at AKVA Group Scotland, praised the ease of operation and quietness of the NetJet?. He also highlighted the superior cleaning results achieved due to its higher power output, which enhanced efficiency. Clean nets promote better fish welfare, a priority for AKVA Group.

Brimmond is currently the only company in the UK offering a full 360o manufacture, rental, and support package for high-pressure net cleaning pumps for offshore aquaculture. Developed in 2023 in collaboration with key personnel from the aquaculture sector, the NetJet? became Scotland’s first turnkey aquaculture net cleaning technology. Brimmond invested approximately £450K in designing, specifying, and manufacturing high-end pump units.
