The Kilifi Manganese Processing Plant is situated in Kenya's Kilifi County's Tezo Area. Marula Mining currently owns 80% of the plant through Muchai Mining and Processing Kilifi Pty Limited, a subsidiary. The approval of this budget is crucial for Marula Mining as it enables the company to accurately forecast its economic performance under the recently signed agency framework contract with Baosteel Resources South Africa (Pty) Ltd.

Furthermore, Marula Mining has concluded several important agreements to supply manganese ore to the Kilifi Plant, totaling up to 20,000 tonnes per month. These agreements provide Marula Mining with greater financial certainty when estimating expected economic performance. Additionally, on-site development at the Kilifi Plant has given executive management assurance that they will meet their delivery targets under the agency framework agreement.
