Great Southern Gun & Knife Shows, a series of events held in Louisiana and Mississippi, offers a platform for buyers, sellers, and traders to engage in the exchange of firearms, ammunition, and related items. The shows are scheduled throughout 2025, providing ample opportunities for enthusiasts and professionals alike.

The first event is set to take place in Kenner/Westwego, Louisiana, at the Pontchartrain Center from January 25-26, 2025. This location offers 400 eight-foot spaces at $100 each for vendors to set up. Similarly, the March 22-23 show will also be held at the Pontchartrain Center. The Alario Center in Westwego will host the April 12-13 event with 200 spaces available. Subsequent shows are scheduled for June 14-15, July 19-20, August 23-24, September 13-14, and October 25-26 at the Pontchartrain Center. The December show will also be held there on December 20-21.

In Jackson, Mississippi, the event will be held at the MS Trade Mart Bldg. from February 22-23 and June 28-29. The August and December shows will take place on August 9-10 and December 13-14 respectively.

Admission to these events is $11 for Kenner/Westwego and $10 for Jackson. Children aged 6 to 11 can enter for $2. Visitors are advised to be present during all show hours as exhibitors must remain on site throughout.

These gun shows provide a unique opportunity for individuals interested in firearms to buy, sell, or trade items such as guns, knives, holsters, ammunition, reloading supplies, military items, and camouflage gear. Security measures are stringent with heavy advertising based on market needs. Visitors should note that no loose ammunition or alcoholic beverages are allowed inside the show venues. All guns must be unloaded and secured with ties while inside the building.
