CONSTRUMA, Hungary’s largest and internationally recognized construction industry trade fair, returned in April 2025 with a significant impact on the sector. This year, more than 455 exhibitors showcased their latest innovations at the HUNGEXPO Budapest Congress and Exhibition Center, attracting a wide range of industry professionals and private builders. The exhibition covered the entire spectrum of construction, highlighting cutting-edge solutions and sustainable practices.
The opening ceremony marked the start of a three-day conference program, which included numerous professional conferences, presentations, and lectures. Gábor Ganczer, CEO of Hungexpo Ltd., greeted the attendees, followed by a speech from Nándor Csepreghy, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Construction and Transportation. The CONSTRUMA Awards were also presented during this event, recognizing outstanding developments in the industry.
Sustainability was a central theme at CONSTRUMA this year. Exhibited products and services emphasized quality and environmental responsibility. The sector conference organized by CONSTRUMA’s main patron, the National Association of Construction Contractors, featured many important industry players. Additionally, various construction trades were presented through programs organized by the Knowledge Building Team (Tudásépít? Team), where carpenters, pavers, masons, and painters shared their expertise.
The Hungarian Chamber of Architects further trained its professional members at CONSTRUMA, while the Budapest and Pest County Chamber of Engineers also hosted their training sessions there. The National Association of Hungarian Gardeners organized a spectacular gardening competition as part of CONSTRUMA Garden.
The 12th edition of HOMEDesign Home Making Exhibition focused on "home furnishing as playful self-fulfillment." This theme was reflected in various programs such as DESIGNCubes by the National Association of Interior Designers and the Hungarian Design stand featuring products from young designers. FABUNIO Wood Like After and Thousand-Colored Wood Extra – PLAYGROUND were also popular among visitors.
Professional discussions during CONSTRUMA were highly successful. The Stonemason Conference’s discussions on sustainability in textile design were particularly well-received. Similarly, round table discussions among interior designers proved to be engaging for participants.
Overall, CONSTRUMA continued to serve as the most important gathering for the Hungarian construction industry, offering a platform for innovation and knowledge sharing.
