The signal is unmistakable: the wind energy industry is ready to tackle the challenges of the energy transition. From September 22 to 25, 2026, WindEnergy Hamburg will once again be the global flagship fair for on and offshore wind energy. This event is expected to drive innovation and showcase the latest technologies in the sector.

WindEnergy Hamburg is set to welcome 1,600 exhibiting companies from 40 countries, with a significant 60% focusing on onshore wind energy and 40% on offshore. The event will take place in an exhibition space of 80,000 square meters across 11 halls, three of which are two-storey structures. This expansive venue will provide ample space for exhibitors to display their latest products and innovations.

The event is anticipated to attract over 43,000 attendees from more than 100 countries. In addition to these visitors, there will be a total of 30 national pavilions contributing to the rich diversity of the event. The previous WindEnergy Hamburg in 2024 saw an impressive turnout, with a total of 80,000 square meters of exhibition space and approximately 43,000 attendees.

Udo Bauer, CEO of ENERCON, expressed his enthusiasm for returning to WindEnergy Hamburg: "We always enjoy being here and showcasing our latest products and tailored service offerings. The trade fair is an excellent opportunity to meet customers and interested parties, discuss new projects and cooperations, and network with other stakeholders."

Hamburg itself offers a vibrant backdrop for this international gathering. Known as a Hanseatic city, it thrives on its contrasts—being a metropolis by the water that provides endless inspiration throughout the day and night. Attendees can enjoy a wide range of culinary experiences and stay at various hotels that cater to different preferences.

WindEnergy Hamburg serves as one of the most important sector events for the wind industry—and for ENERCON. The next edition promises to build on the positive exchanges from previous years while continuing to drive innovation in wind energy technology.
