Iran ranks among the two largest sales markets for agricultural technology in the Middle East. With a population of 90 million, Iran has long been the largest agro market in the region. Expenditure in the agricultural sector is growing steadily, and agri-production is one of the largest segments of the Iranian industry. The strong demand for quality agricultural technology has led to a growth of 15.8% annually over the past five years, making the Iranian market for agricultural technology rank among the top two in the Middle East.
The exhibition covers a diverse range of exhibits, including agricultural machines, farming tractors, harvesting equipment, analytical equipment, dryers, cleaner systems, silos and storage systems, feeding equipment, fish farming equipment, grains and grain systems, greenhouse and greenhouse plastics and equipment, irrigation systems, livestock and poultry breeding equipment, milk processing installations/equipment, milling and mixing installations/equipment, pesticides and fertilizers, poultry equipment, seeds and seedlings, stable equipment, veterinary syringes.
The 31st edition of Iran Agro as part of Iran Agrofood closed its doors on a very high note. In 2024, 847 exhibitors from 12 countries established valuable business contacts with over 40,000 trade visitors. The event took place from June 8 to June 11 at the Tehran International Permanent Fairground. This made it one of the largest in its long history. The exhibitors came from Austria, China, Denmark, Germany, India, Iran, Italy, Russia, Spain, Thailand, Türkiye (Turkey), and the United Arab Emirates.
Spearheaded by fairtrade Messe and their Iranian partners Palar Samaneh (Palar Samaneh), Iran Agro serves Iran’s vibrant agricultural industry. The event is supported by top governmental bodies such as the Iranian Ministry of Agriculture-Jihad and the Iranian Ministry of Industry Mine & Trade. It also enjoys support from organizations like FBIA (Iran Food & Beverage Importers Association) and IFMMA (Iran Food Machinery Manufacturers Association).
