The 9th Vietnam International Wire and Cable Exhibition is set to take place from November 19 to 21, 2025, at the Ho Chi Minh SECC International Exhibition Center. Vietnam's growing electricity demand presents a significant market opportunity for wire and cable manufacturers. According to the Vietnamese newspaper Sai Gon Giai Phong, Vietnam plans to invest in the construction of 67 power plants by 2025, aiming to meet domestic electricity demand. Among these, 37 power plants will be built by the Electricity of Vietnam with a total power of 12740MW, while another 30 will be invested through BOT or IPP with a total power of 3661MW.

The Vietnamese power industry needs substantial investment to achieve its goals. According to the "Vietnam National Energy Development Strategy to 2020 with an outlook to 2050" report from the Ministry of Industry and Trade, the average annual increase in Vietnamese electric power was expected to be around 16% from 2006 to 2010, decreasing slightly but still maintaining a high growth rate until 2025. This substantial demand for wire and cable products underscores their importance in supporting Vietnam's energy infrastructure development.

The previous year's exhibition, International Wire & Cable Show Vietnam 2024, was held at ICE-Hanoi from November 20th to 22nd. It was a great success with over 150 exhibitors from various countries participating in an exhibition space of 6,000 square meters. More than 3850 professional visitors from over 20 countries attended the event. Over three-quarters of exhibitors found this platform effective for developing professional wire and cable markets in Vietnam and ASEAN.
