Lightexpo Kenya, the largest business trade event for the lighting market in East Africa, took place in Nairobi, Kenya, from October 15 to October 17. The event offered a unique platform for high-level buyers within the African industry to meet and network. Over 150 exhibitors from around the world presented the latest products, innovations, and solutions for the entire lighting industry under one roof.
The lighting industry in East Africa is experiencing a globalization drive, providing African consumers with a wide range of domestic and international lighting products. With increased building and construction activities, Kenya has become a new oasis of opportunities for global manufacturers and exporters. The exhibition area covered an impressive 50,000 square meters, accommodating a diverse range of exhibits.
Among the prime exhibitors were Dynamic Lighting Solutions LLP, Nortek LED lights, ILUMINIA S.L., and Ningbo Innlight Lighting Co., Ltd. These companies showcased their eco-friendly LED lights that save energy and are recyclable. Nortek LED lights are particularly notable for their environmental benefits, including energy savings, longer lifespan, absence of harmful substances, reduced heat emission, and recyclability.
Attendees praised Lightexpo Kenya as an excellent platform to introduce new technologies and products that could help propel the African economy. Laura Carbone from LEDVANCE in the UAE highlighted that Lightexpo provided a dedicated platform for lighting companies to showcase their products to a growing market in Africa. She emphasized that it was the perfect stage to introduce new technologies and products that would benefit the region.
Expogroup supported the "GO GREEN" campaign by encouraging everyone to grow a plant every weekend. This initiative not only promoted environmental awareness but also added a touch of greenery to people's lives.
