Oenorama, the largest Greek wine exhibition in the world, is set to return from March 7 to 10, 2025, at the Zappeion Megaro in Athens. This event, which began in 1994, remains the most significant wine exhibition in Greece and one of the largest globally for Greek wines. It features over 250 exhibitors on separate stands and showcases more than 2,300 wines and musts from various vineyards. The exhibition attracts approximately 10,000 Greek and international visitors, as well as professionals from the wine industry.
Dr. Giannis Vogiatzoglou, President of the Hellenic Oenologists Association and a distinguished oenologist at the Agricultural University of Athens, emphasizes that Oenorama is not just an event but a unique opportunity. "It's a valuable meeting point for professionals and consumers alike, as well as for friends and other people involved in wine," he says. "It's a well-structured environment where everyone can meet."
Dr. Georgios Kotseridis, an Assistant Professor and Director of the Oenology and Alcoholic Beverages Laboratory at the Agricultural University of Athens, shares his personal experience: "Oenorama is 'Greek wine' to me. I have been attending it for decades now. When I returned from France, I made my first contact with Greek wine through this event."
Constantinos Lazarakis MW, President of WSPC Wine School, adds: "Oenorama is the family party of wine. That's why every year's participation is important. Because within a family gathering, we should always go back to our roots even if we think we have everything again."
The exhibition offers visitors a chance to experience various wines and musts from different vineyards. It also provides opportunities for networking among professionals and enthusiasts in the wine industry. With its rich history spanning over three decades, Oenorama continues to be a significant platform for showcasing Greek wines and musts.
Visitors are encouraged to prepare for their visit; they can taste a variety of wines and musts from different producers!
