Indonesia, a country with significant potential in the industrial rechargeable battery and energy storage market, is making substantial progress towards renewable energy integration. The government has set an ambitious target of adding 75 GW of renewable energy capacity by 2040, with Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) playing a crucial role in stabilizing the grid and managing variable energy sources. BESS can also provide power to remote areas, reduce diesel use, lower emissions, and create sustainable energy solutions. The growing adoption of electric vehicles (EVs) in Indonesia further boosts the demand for BESS, enhancing EV charging infrastructure and repurposing EV batteries for secondary use.

Moreover, Indonesia's leadership in nickel reserves positions it as a global player in battery manufacturing. Investments from companies like CATL, LG Energy Solution, and Hyundai are driving the cost-effectiveness and availability of battery solutions, creating a favorable ecosystem for BESS development. To support this industry growth, the Indonesian government plans to introduce supportive policies such as subsidies, tax incentives, and regulations for grid operators.

Battery & Energy Storage Indonesia 2025 is set to be held from April 23-25, 2025, at JIExpo Kemayoran in Jakarta. This event will bring together over 1,100 exhibitors and attract more than 30,000 visitors over three days. The exhibition will showcase the latest advancements in battery and energy storage solutions and provide a platform for industry professionals to gain valuable knowledge from leading experts.

The event is part of a series of sub-events including Solartech Indonesia 2025, INALIGHT 2025, INATRONiCS 2025, Smart Home+City Indonesia 2025, and Smart Energy Indonesia 2025. With an expanded scale of up to 20%, Battery & Energy Storage Indonesia 2025 aims to be the ideal platform for expanding business networks and finding the latest information in relevant industries. Whether you are an industry professional or simply curious about the future of energy storage, this exhibition offers something for everyone.
