The 35th Symposium Intensivmedizin + Intensivpflege, held in 2025, attracted a total of 4,507 participants, marking a significant increase from previous years. Among these participants, 53% were nursing staff and 47% were medical professionals and other healthcare workers. The event saw a steady number of attendees over the years, with a high percentage of 89% choosing to purchase annual passes, while the remaining 11% opted for daily passes.

The exhibition area covered an impressive 2667 square meters, featuring contributions from 181 exhibitors. This year's symposium not only celebrated its 35th anniversary but also honored the outstanding work of its recipients through the Hanse-Preise awards. Additionally, the symposium paid tribute to Peter Wirmsberger, whose contributions significantly enriched its events.

A blood donation campaign during the symposium was highly successful. The DRK - Blutspendedienst NSTOB managed to achieve remarkable results during the blood donation drive. The symposium also provided valuable insights into sepsis management through the SepsisAkademie, which has been running for over a decade and offers regular online events on this critical topic.

CME points were submitted to the state medical associations, with processing times potentially taking up to two months. The symposium also featured a podcast called "Bremer Wortbote – Darüber spricht nicht nur Bremen…", inviting listeners to explore various topics beyond just Bremen.
