Fitur, the premier international tourism trade fair, is set to take place from January 21 to 25, 2026. This event is not only a key meeting point for tourism professionals but also the largest business platform in the tourism industry. With a record number of participants and exhibitors, Fitur is poised to be a significant milestone in the sector.

This year's edition of Fitur is expected to attract over 9,500 exhibitors and 155,000 trade participants. Additionally, it will welcome more than 156 countries' representatives, showcasing the global reach and importance of this event. The fair will cover an extensive area of 100,000 square meters, providing ample space for various activities and exhibitions.

Fitur offers a range of specialized areas that cater to different segments of the tourism industry. These include Fitur Cruises, which focuses on sustainable blue tourism; Fitur LGBT+, a non-seasonal sector with significant purchasing power; and Fitur Lingua, a meeting point for language tourism professionals. Other notable areas include Fitur Know How & Export, which aims to boost internationalization and knowledge in the tourism sector; Fitur Screen, offering an opportunity to reach new audiences; and Fitur Sports, bringing together the tourism and sports industries.

Fitur Woman celebrates its fourth edition as a platform to promote women's roles in the tourism industry. Additionally, Fitur 4all aims to make tourist destinations and services accessible to all people with accessibility needs. The FITUR NEXT Observatory is an initiative focused on promoting best practices in sustainable tourism.

México has been announced as the partner country for FITUR 2026. This collaboration marks a significant step forward in strengthening ties between Mexico and the global tourism community. The announcement was made at Mexico's stand during the International Tourism Trade Fair.

In previous editions of FITUR, such as FITUR 2025, several initiatives were highlighted. For instance, FITURNEXT 2025 focused on sustainable food practices in tourism. FITUR also presented an award for the best research work in the tourism industry through its Jorge Vila Fradera Tribune Award.
