Breizh Transition, a significant event in the region, celebrated its fifth edition on October 4 and 5, 2023. This event brought together a diverse array of stakeholders, including businesses, local authorities, and associations, to discuss pressing issues related to energy, digital, social, and economic transitions. The event took place at the exhibition center in Quimper, a city in Brittany.
The two-day conference was a platform for knowledge sharing and networking among participants. The exhibition area covered an expansive space, accommodating numerous exhibitors. According to organizers, there were over 100 exhibitors present at the event. Additionally, the number of visitors was substantial, with hundreds of attendees engaging in discussions and learning about various transition strategies.
One of the highlights of Breizh Transition was its commitment to environmental sustainability. Since 2019, the event has partnered with EcoTree to offset its carbon footprint. As part of this initiative, 100 chestnut trees were planted in the Cleden-Poher forest in Finistère. This initiative not only contributed to reforestation but also showcased Breizh Transition's dedication to environmental responsibility.
Looking ahead to the next edition of Breizh Transition, which is scheduled for December 4 and 5, 2025, organizers are already planning for an even more impactful event. With continued support from partners like Quimper Evènements and EcoTree, Breizh Transition aims to further strengthen its position as a leading platform for discussing and implementing transition strategies in Brittany and beyond.
