The eagerly awaited return of the legendary Le Mans car and the first major exhibition of the Baltic region, "Auto 2025," is set to take place in Rīga from April 25-27. This international automotive exhibition, organized by BT 1 since 1995, promises to showcase an unprecedented number of car brands and cutting-edge models, many of which will make their debut in the Baltic region.
Among the highlights is the much-anticipated "Renault 5 E-Tech," a fully electric version of the iconic car that has been absent from the market for decades. This new model not only retains its recognizable design from the classic era but also offers a more affordable price point than many modern electric vehicles. The "Fiat Panda" is also making its Baltic debut, now exclusively in electric form, as part of its push towards more eco-friendly options for consumers.
Other notable debuts include the "Opel Frontera," which has returned after a 20-year hiatus, offering both hybrid and fully electric versions. The "Dacia Bigster" is another star attraction, being both larger and more luxurious than its predecessor. Additionally, Dacia's new models are equipped with features like panoramic glass roofs and electrically adjustable seats, previously found only in premium cars.
The exhibition also features sporty modifications of Nissan's "Nismo" models. Despite the quieter versions of previous Nismo models with gasoline engines fading into obscurity, Nissan has found a way to reignite interest among car enthusiasts with its new sporty version of the "Ariya Nismo." This model boasts an impressive acceleration of just five seconds from zero to 100 km/h and has been thoroughly reengineered for better handling and performance.
The modernized "Skoda Enyaq" is another highlight at "Auto 2025." Despite significant changes in design aesthetics typically associated with a new generation model, Skoda has managed to preserve its unique style while updating it for modern tastes. Also on display are new models from BYD, Dongfeng, Lynk & Co., Great Wall Motor, Kia, Honda, Volkswagen, Toyota, Peugeot, Citroën, and others.
With over 30 exhibitions featuring various aspects of the automotive industry such as new cars, auto mechanics, and exotic cars, "Auto 2025" is set to be a must-visit event for both automotive enthusiasts and professionals. The exhibition promises to be a comprehensive showcase of future trends in automotive technology and design.
