The Brazilian footwear industry is experiencing a surge in exports, with more than 21 million pairs shipped in the first two months of 2025, marking a 14.7% increase compared to the same period in 2024. This growth is fueling optimism among manufacturers ahead of the fourth edition of BFSHOW, which will take place from May 19 to 21 at Distrito Anhembi in São Paulo, Brazil. As one of the largest footwear trade shows in Latin America, BFSHOW has already sold 93% of its exhibition spaces to Brazilian brands.

Recognized for its opportunities and business generated for the international market, BFSHOW has become an essential platform for both domestic and international buyers. According to Letícia Sperb Masselli, Relationship and Business Manager at Abicalçados, "Brazil is the leading footwear supplier outside Asia, combining quality and competitive pricing, particularly given the current exchange rate." The event is expected to attract over 1,200 international buyers from all continents.

Rico Azeredo, Head of New Business at NürnbergMesse Brasil, highlights the strong potential of buyers registering for the event. "We already have confirmed buyers from key international markets, and we are seeing growing interest from the United States, Argentina, and European countries such as Spain." David Benzikry, CEO of Spring Footwear Corp. in the United States, plans to establish new connections at BFSHOW. "We import over $50 million in footwear annually and are the largest national footwear distribution network in the United States. Brazilian footwear is a blend of fashion, functionality, and emotion."

Jose Antonio Albero, CEO of Nuez Moscada SL from Spain, confirms his attendance at BFSHOW. With 400 stores across Spain and annual imports of over 20,000 pairs of Brazilian shoes, Albero sees Brazil as an ideal supplier for summer appeal. "Brazilian footwear is synonymous with vacations, leisure, and summer. For a country like Spain where tourism is booming and summers are getting longer, Brazil offers the right product."

The fourth edition of BFSHOW will provide a platform for companies like Crep to strengthen their international presence. Carla Crepaldi, CFO of Crep from São José dos Campos in São Paulo, shares that her brand secured its first international client at BFSHOW last November after years of talks with a major Peruvian wholesaler.

With a total area of over 32,000 square meters and confirmed international buyers from key markets such as the United States and Spain, BFSHOW is set to be a pivotal event for both domestic manufacturers and international buyers looking to tap into the growing demand for Brazilian footwear.
