The XX Intourmarket International Exhibition-Forum of Regional Hospitality was held in Nizhny Novgorod from March 13-15, 2025. The event attracted a significant number of participants, including representatives from 60 entities and guests from friendly countries. The exhibition complex, known as the Nizhny Novgorod Fair, hosted over 30,000 people, with more than 14,000 attending the physical event and over 16,000 following the online broadcasts.

The opening day saw high-level officials such as Maxim Reshetnikov, Minister of Economic Development of the Russian Federation, and Gleb Nikitin, Governor of the Nizhny Novgorod region, among others. Dmitry Chernyshenko, Deputy Chairman of the Government of the Russian Federation, emphasized the importance of Intourmarket as a platform for discussing tourism's future and sharing industry experience. He highlighted that this year's event brought together experts from various regions and countries.

Gleb Nikitin noted that Nizhny Novgorod is actively developing its hospitality industry infrastructure. The region has seen an annual growth rate of tourist and excursion visits by about 15 percent. In 2024 alone, over 4.7 million guests visited the region.

The exhibition featured stands from interregional projects such as the Silver Necklace of Russia historical, cultural and tourism project and the Imperial Route national tourist project. Over 25 profile tour operators presented their services at a thematic joint stand dedicated to children's, youth, and family tourism.

The business program included more than 50 sessions with over 250 speakers from reputable travel industry organizations. Additionally, the second day was designated as a Day of Charity for an interregional charity auction that raised 191,090 rubles for a children’s hospice project.

Intourmarket’s success in Nizhny Novgorod demonstrated that regional events can effectively showcase national tourism products while fostering interregional cooperation. The event's organizers are already planning for its next edition on April 2-4, 2026, in the same location.
