On March 21, 2025, Atlas Copco Group announced its acquisition of Neadvance Machine Vision, a Portuguese software company specializing in quality control and integrated vision systems. Based in Portugal, Neadvance provides solutions for automating production lines in various industries. The acquisition will integrate Neadvance into the Chicago Pneumatic Tools division within the Industrial Technique Business Area of Atlas Copco Group. As part of this deal, 41 employees from Neadvance will join Atlas Copco Group.

Henrik Elmin, Business Area President of Industrial Technique at Atlas Copco Group, stated that the acquisition would accelerate their capability for smart integrated assembly. This is not the first acquisition for Atlas Copco Group; earlier this year, they also added VisionTools Bildanalyse Systeme GmbH (VisionTools) to their portfolio. VisionTools is a German company that develops and sells integrated solutions for quality control in assembly lines.

The financial details of the acquisition were not disclosed by either company. In 2023, Neadvance reported revenues of approximately €2.5 million. This move by Atlas Copco Group is part of their strategy to enhance their technological offerings and expand their market presence in the industrial sector.

In recent years, Atlas Copco Group has been actively acquiring businesses to strengthen its position in the industry. The acquisition of Neadvance aligns with their goal to integrate advanced technologies into their products and services, thereby improving efficiency and productivity in manufacturing processes.
