The Surface & Coating Expo (S&CE) is considered India's largest and most specific trade fair in the fields of surface technology, preparation, coating, finishing, corrosion protection, environmental technology, and related technologies. It takes place biennially at the Chennai Trade Centre, one of the country's largest exhibition centers, located in Chennai, India. The event is organized by the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), the largest economic association in India. The main topics of the fair are diverse, ranging from surface technology and coating to finishing, corrosion protection, environmental technology, and technological innovations. A wide range of products and services are presented at the fair. These include, in particular, the latest technologies and solutions in the fields of coating, surface treatment, environmental technology, and corrosion protection. Highlights of the fair include a variety of technical presentations, workshops, and networking events. The exhibitors represent a broad spectrum of industries, including the automotive, aerospace, construction, chemical, and energy sectors. In conclusion, it should be emphasized that the Chennai Trade Centre is easily accessible due to excellent transport connections to both the city center and Chennai Airport. On the whole the organisers welcomed on the 3 days of the fair, from 31. August to 02. September 2018, about 180 exhibitors from 9 countries and 9000 visitors on the Surface & Coating Expo in Chennai.
