The student exchange fair "Off into the World" is a major education fair in Hamburg, which takes place in the conference center in the Volksdorf Museum Village. The one-day information event about stays abroad for students is organized by the non-profit organization Deutsche Stiftung Völkerverständigung, although it occasionally has changing dates. This organization is passionate about international education and exchange. This foundation organizes student exchange fairs all over Germany. Nowadays, stays abroad are of increasing importance for young people and are often seen as a milestone in their careers. Off into the World examines topics such as student exchanges, semesters abroad, language trips, volunteer work, internships and work & travel. Highlights include classic student exchanges, boarding schools, private schools, holiday and summer camps, language courses and the teaching of intercultural skills. Programs such as volunteer services, au pairs, summer camps, work and travel and many others are also presented. Part of the fair is an exhibition of leading exchange organizations, neutral advisory services as well as embassies and consulates. There are also discussion rounds, lectures by experts and reports from former participants. Scholarships are also offered. Overall, the "Off into the World" fair in the conference center in the Volksdorf Museum Village in Hamburg is a first-class platform for finding out about international education and exchange opportunities.
