The Wuppertal Christmas Market in the Elberfeld district, organized by Grandezza Entertainment GmbH from Essen, is an annual Advent event that takes place until December 23rd. It spans Neumarkt, Döppersberg, and Herzogstraße, offering a magical atmosphere in the midst of the city. A highlight of the market is the 33-meter-tall Ferris wheel, which provides spectacular views of the historic town hall and the city. The town hall itself, with its historic facade, is spectacularly illuminated from the first Advent, further enhancing the Christmas mood. The market stalls along the Jubiläumsbrunnen and at Neumarkt offer a variety of culinary delights. A special feature is the three-tiered mulled wine pyramid, where Christmas fairy tale figures rotate. Traditional treats like bratwurst, crepes, churros, fish specialties, grilled items, potato pancakes, sweets, as well as roasted almonds and nuts tantalize the taste buds. Mulled wine, a classic at every Christmas market, is served in the pyramid, under the large archway with Wuppertal motifs, and at the popular stand of the Lions Club Wuppertal. For children, there is a carousel at Döppersberg, and the soft forest floor covering made of wood chips at Neumarkt creates a cozy atmosphere. The quaint huts and numerous, festively lit Christmas trees also contribute to the unique ambiance.
