It is organised by Messe Berlin GmbH and takes place biennially in September at the Messe Berlin halls. The fair provides a wide array of products, systems, and processes, with a special emphasis on sustainable and environmentally friendly solutions. Exhibitors worldwide present the latest technologies, services, and innovations in areas such as machinery, equipment, and systems for indoor and outdoor building cleaning, specialised cleaning sectors like industrial, automotive, and textile cleaning, cleaning and disinfecting agents, waste management, and recycling. The "Management" section encompasses all facets of facility management, including procurement, space management, cost planning and control, property accounting, personnel management, contract management, and software solutions for financial accounting, payroll, and machinery usage calculation. The "Services" section includes all essential services for facility management, such as cleaning and maintenance services, gardening and winter services, property management, security services, disposal services, catering, and special services. Agencies, consulting institutions, professional associations, and specialised publishers are also represented. On the whole the organisers welcomed on the 4 days of the fair, from 24. September to 27. September 2019, about 448 exhibitors from 25 countries and 20318 visitors from 80 countries on the CMS in Berlin. The CMS will take place on 4 days from Tuesday, 23. September to Friday, 26. September 2025 in Berlin.
