At Germany's largest trade fair with an accompanying congress for cinema operators, called "KINO", industry representatives gather to learn about trends and innovations in the national and international cinema industry. The fair showcases cinema technology, ranging from digital projectors and audio systems to screen and 3D technology. In addition, equipment for cinemas, such as seating, counter and ticketing systems, convenience products, and software for cinema operators, including DCP and KDM management, online ticketing, and internet applications, are presented. The fair is accompanied by a comprehensive congress program consisting of seminars and workshops with industry experts. They discuss topics such as technological trends, cinema funding, employee motivation, and business succession. Almost all major film distribution companies present their current offerings within tradeshows. The "KINO" takes place annually, usually in the spring, in the picturesque city of Baden-Baden. The event is held at the modern Baden-Baden Congress House, which, with its central location and high-quality facilities, provides optimal conditions for exhibitors and visitors. On the whole the organisers welcomed on the 4 days of the fair, from 08. May to 11. May 2023, about 75 exhibitors and 1100 visitors on the KINO in Baden-Baden.
