The Shanghai International Hotpot Industry Exhibition (SHCE) is the leading trade fair for the hotpot industry in China. The fair was founded by the Shanghai Golden Commercial Exhibition Co. Ltd., a renowned organizer for trade fairs and exhibitions. The abbreviation SHCE stands for Shanghai Hotpot Industry Exhibition. The term "hotpot industry" refers to the business surrounding the traditional Asian meal known as hotpot. A hotpot is a popular dish, originating from China, but widely enjoyed across many parts of Asia. It is a cooking style where ingredients like meat, fish, vegetables, and noodles are cooked together in a communal pot with simmering broth.
